Elaine McMillion Sheldon and Kerrin Sheldon - the Academy Award-nominated husband and wife team behind the Netflix Original Documentaries “Heroin(e)” and “Recovery Boys” - collaborated with Oh Boy Records to direct and produce the video. McMillion Sheldon and Sheldon used their experience documenting the opioid crisis to craft an original script about the life of a young girl and her grandfather following the loss of her mother and his daughter. The cast was made up exclusively of first-time actors and the fictional story was shot in West Virginia and takes place at the homes and on the land that McMillion Sheldon spent her childhood.

Of the video, John Prine says, "The opioid crisis is tearing American families apart. I love what Elaine and Kerrin have done with my song for this video. I hope a lot of people see it."
