Using the Folk Alley Skill for Amazon Echo Smart Speakers is easy and allows you quick access to Folk Alley content.

To use the Folk Alley Skill for Echo or other Alexa-enabled smart speakers (e.g. Sonos), either say “Alexa, enable Folk Alley” or follow these simple steps:

1. Open your Alexa app and go to the menu.
2. Scroll down and click on Skills.
3. Search “Folk Alley.”
4. Enable the desired Skill.

The Folk Alley Skill provides multiple options for audio playback. The list for each is below (or see the entry in the Alexa app):

FOLK ALLEY ALEXA COMMANDS:
For the Primary Stream, say: “Alexa, play Folk Alley”
For Fresh Cuts, say: “Alexa, ask Folk Alley to play Fresh Cuts”
For Classic Folk, say: “Alexa, ask Folk Alley to play the Classic Folk Stream”
For the Irish Stream, say: “Alexa, ask Folk Alley to play the Irish Stream”
For the Halloween ‘Scream Stream’ or Holiday Music, Say: “Alexa, ask Folk Alley to play Holiday Music” [available during October and the winter holidays]

Other Tasks:
“Alexa, ask Folk Alley what’s playing”
“Alexa, ask Folk Alley what’s playing on Fresh Cuts”
“Alexa, as Folk Alley what’s playing on the Classic Folk Stream”
“Alexa, ask Folk Alley what’s playing on the Irish Stream”

Also, the Folk Alley Skill can be linked to your Folk Alley login to access the Member-only Pledge Free Stream and to check your Folk Alley Member Status.
