Description: As the owner of an antique store, I often come across unusual pieces when visiting my dealers. I've no idea how the seven Voodoo Dolls I recently found ended up in a sleepy English town in the middle of nowhere... They were simply fascinating - and the evil emanating from them made me give them a wide berth... I don't need that kind of trouble!

But they haunted me. Until yesterday. Then this song appeared.

I completed the song an hour or so before performing it live at the Minchinhampton Folk Club (September 28 2017) before a small audience.

Here is that performance. Enjoy!

Voodoo Dolls

Oh, itís Satans Day
When you lose your faith
In the folk that close around you
Oh, they smile and preach
With homilies
But the wheels that grind cant touch you

So itís rotting bones and foetid stones
And the devilís clones
In the dark wood
And the rooks and the crows
And the crooks and cronesÖ
Seated on deceptionís throne

I should have bought the voodoo dolls
To get me through the storms and squalls
Should have dove those needles hard
Deep inside your traitors hearts
I should have bought the voodoo dolls
Vooooo Dooooo
Vooooo Dooooo
Vooooo Dooooo Do do doÖ

Oh itís Saviours Day
When you lose your way
Among the he haw follk that surrounds you
Oh They sing and dance
With their dirty hands
And the chords of dissonant sounds

But karma, oh karma
Is stronger than you
Stronger than you or I
Read and weep, crawl and creep
But you will not escape the all-seeing eye

I should have bought those voodoo dolls
To get me through the storms and squalls
Should have dove those needles hard
Deep inside your traitors hearts
I should have bought the voodoo dolls
Vooooo Dooooo
Vooooo Dooooo Vooooo Dooooo Do do doÖ
