Description: Skunk Ape

Back in ‘59 they say three boy scouts from Ocala ran from camp to dodge the monster that they saw,
It had a human face with a stinky hairy body, and it measured seven feet nine inches tall.
Years later on the interstate a trucker took a rest stop. He settled in his seat to catch some winks.
When something pulled him from his cab and dragged him ‘cross the asphalt.
“My God”, he screamed, “Your armpit really stinks!”

Skunk Ape, get back into your swamp! You’re scaring folks in Florida to death!
Skunk Ape, you’re not allowed to romp! Your armpit is as stinky, oh! Your armpit is as stinky as your breath.

Archaeologists were digging in the mounds around Big Cypress,
When a beast crashed into camp and wrecked their tent.
They watched it loping down the road – a large pi-pedal primate
With a hairy body and an awful scent.

Skunk Ape goes by many names like “Big Foot” and “Old Harry”,
“The Bardin Booger” and “The Taylor Wild Man.”
“Sasquatch,” “Swamp Monkey” and “The Fairville Gorilla”,
And each one smells just like a garbage can!

Skunk Ape, get back into your swamp! You’re scaring folks in Florida to death!
Skunk Ape, you’re not allowed to romp! Your armpit is as stinky, whew!, your armpit is as stinky as your breath.

Now what if I was drivin’ down US 27 one evening, and I look out my window, oh I see that Skunk Ape? Whew!
I don’t know if I could deal with it you know, my nostrils, oh! - that Skunk Ape, man! I don’t know.
Skunk Ape, get back into your swamp! You’re scaring folks in Florida to death!
Skunk Ape, you’re not allowed to romp! Your armpit is as stinky … as your breath, as your breath, oough!
Your armpit is as stinky as your breath. Whew! Ooh!
