Description: "And the farmhouse was empty, no echoes of you... It's sure good to see you, man. It's been a long time. Never meant to forget you. You're a friend of mine." Those lyrics pretty much sum up vintage roots-rock outfit Midwestern Lull. The four-piece's humble, rural Michigan beginnings started with longtime friends and musical partners Dave Johnson (vocals, guitar) and Mark Toliusis (vocals, drums). In 2001, they added childhood friend Nick Goodman (vocals, bass) and started writing. Soon enough, the trio added Patrick Sebastian (organ/piano), bringing with them a rootsy sensibility that just worked.
