The Sox Finally Win the Series, ver. 86.0

Description: The original version of this song, on Hoffman's CD, "Best Friends" (2002) cruelly duped Sox fans by thinking the Sox win the Series, when everyone knew they never win the Series. The never-released flash upgrade (2003), was written in a spasm of unjustified pre-euphoria, just before they folded in the seventh game of the AL playoffs against the hated Yankees. This version, issued only every 86th year (like Halley's Comet?), when the Sox DO win the Series, is designed for that loyal cadre of Sox-oriented folkies who either want to revel in a once-in-a-lifetime event or the naive few who expect it to happen again. And, if you're not a baseball fan or, worse, a Yankees fan, we suggest you try another song instead of this one.

Nice job, reminds me of Steve Goodman's "Dying Cub Fan's Last Request"

I don't follow any sports teams, but I know plenty around here that are Cubs/Sox fans. This was great.
