| Artist Biography: |
Jeff Troxel is an award-winning guitarist, songwriter, and composer. He holds music degrees from Berklee College of Music and the University of Southern California, and is a member of the national music honor society Pi Kappa Lambda.
Jeff has appeared in concert with Jack Reilly, Bobby Shew, Frank Mantooth, Chris Merz, James Naughton and Sunny Wilkinson, among others. His recording entitled Rising from the Plains earned him the Artist Fellowship Award in composition from the Wyoming Arts Council.
Jeff’s newest recording November Sidewalk, showcases his singing, songwriting, and guitar playing. He is currently performing this and other material as a solo performer and has appeared at numerous concerts and festivals. He has been recently featured in Flatpicking Guitar Magazine, Acoustic Guitar Magazine, and Montana Magazine.
Jeff is the 2001 Wyoming state flatpicking champion, the 2003 Utah state flatpicking champion, and the 2003 National Flatpicking Champion. He has taught guitar at The University of Southern California, the University of Laverne, Northwest College, and The Yellowstone Jazz Camp. He currently divides his time between performing and teaching at the Rocky Mountain School of the Arts, and Central Wyoming College. Jeff is a roster artist for Arts Across Wyoming and a regular columnist for Flatpicking Guitar Magazine and Mel Bay’s Guitar Sessions. For more information visit www.jefftroxel.com
