Artist Biography:
With rich vocal harmonies, riveting lyrics and haunting melodies layered over folk harp and acoustic guitar, March to May's live performances intimate and captivating, and linger in their audiences' minds. In April 2015, they released their critically acclaimed debut EP, The Water’s Edge, to a sold-out show on a historic steamship, drawing comparisons to acts like The Civil Wars, Damien Rice, the Swell Season, and Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. In November 2015, just two and a half years after forming as a band, they headlined and filled the house of one of Seattle's most prestigious venues, The Triple Door. They were one of twelve official showcase artists (of a 14 state/province region) at the 2016 FAR-West Folk Alliance conference, and their music video, The Navigator premiered on The Bluegrass Situation on October 6th, 2016. They recently released their debut album, Through the Night, in April 2017, drawing rave reviews from esteemed publications such as Glide Magazine, The Revue, and Surviving the Golden Age. Their album is currently in rotation on community radio stations across the country, including NPR and PRI's Echoes program, which broadcasts on 130 radio stations from Maine to California.
