| Artist Biography: |
Hi. We’re Broken Radios. Yes, we got the name from John Prine’s Sam Stone. We know a lot of JP tunes and we’re not afraid to play ‘em. The four of us have been playing together on and off since ’99. And in between the music we’ve fallen in love, gotten married, had children / grandchildren and experienced much the real stuff that life has to offer. I think we’re ready to get back out there and sing about it.
Josh Lewis- Percussion/Promotions.
Chuck Leamon- Bass/Mandolin/Guitar/Producer
Steve Sanders- Songwriter/Vocals/Guitar/Harmonica
Jerry Brownlow- Songwriter/Vocals/Guitar
We all hail from NW GA. We’ve been told that we sound country (we come by it honestly) and we’re cool with that. But, when we write and perform we’re using the great American singer/songwriters as the primer.
The songs posted here are products of our first attempts at songwriting. Written in the late 90s, they are full of young man themes, fears and naiveté. We hope you enjoy listening to them half as much as we do performing them.
