| Artist Biography: |
Pete Glaze is a Singer/Songwriter, Guitar Player and Performer with roots in New York City, but currently living and performing in coffee houses and small venues in the Philadelphia area.
“After spending the last couple of years performing with a classic rock cover band, I have gone back to my first love, writing and performing my own songs solo — just me and my acoustic guitar, with an occasional guest.”
Pete’s songs run the gamut from sensitive, fingerstyle folk ballads to more aggressive acoustic folk-rock, and party numbers infused with Pete’s quirky sense of humor. He has performed a mix of his own original material and a huge repertoire of cover songs at many venues in the SE Pennsylvania and New Jersey areas, including: The Regency Cafe, The General Lafayette Inn, The Berwyn Tavern, Duffers Tavern, The Red Lantern, The Lansdowne Farmers Market, and the annual bar-b-cue for the Penny Angels Beagle Rescue. (Pete’s song Beagle Day has been a staple on the Penny Angel’s website for several years).
Pete lists his influences as Chris Smither, Elton John, Pete Townshend, Tom Lehrer, his wife Kate, his three sons, and numerous pets — not necessarily in that order.
Pete is actively seeking bookings where original folk-rock and folk songs are well-received. He is currently working on his first full album of original songs.
