Artist Biography:
C.S. Fuqua is a writer by trade, his work appearing widely in publications such as Main Street Rag, Brutarian, Pearl, DAW Books' The Year's Best Horror Stories, Cemetery Dance, Christian Science Monitor, Best of the Net 2006, and many others. His published books include Big Daddy's Gadgets, The Native American Flute: Myth, History, Craft, Notes to My Becca, Divorced Dads, Music Fell on Alabama, and the Deadlines audio-novel series. His songs have appeared on the CD Out from Reverse -- Letters to the President, which features works by a diverse group of musicians who have donated their music to benefit those most directly and adversely affected by the invasion and occupation of Iraq, with all proceeds from CD sales donated to the Armed Forces Foundation and Operation Iraqi Children. The CD is available through CDBaby.com. Two of his songs appear on Neil Young’s protest songs website, Living with War. Fuqua likes to blend genres, using instruments such as the Native American flute and other folk instruments for a more cross-culture appeal.
