The Obscure Dr. Strangely Strange to Reunite!

This is to announce a forthcoming previously unreleased album by Dr Strangely Strange dating from their classic period, 1969/70. Titled 'Halcyon Days', the CD will contain archive tracks, many produced by Joe Boyd as well as 3 new songs. The CD will be released around June 16th. To pre-order go to Hux Records.

To launch their new album the original members will come together to play their first London gig in 36 years. Tim Booth, Tim Goulding and Ivan Pawle, are performing at Denmark Street’s 12 Bar Club on Saturday, June 16th 2007. Tickets are on sale now. For full details go to Hux Records News Section.

One of the early hippie gatherings in San Francisco, somewhere around 1966, was called 'A Tribute to Dr. Strange'. Does anyone know if this is where this group derived their name? The original hippies, at least the real ones, had such a novel perspective and way with words. The name of this band brings this fact to mind.
