I've listened to the Living With War album. There was much media hype about the "Let's Impeach the President" cut. Personally I found the song "Lookin' For A Leader" to be the most powerful and relevant song on the album. "Flags for Freedom" and "Families" were also tugging at the heart strings. The album is certainly in the genre of Rock-Folk.

CSN have been in and out of my life since I was in my late teens. Their voices have always typified that genre to me. I'm still not exactly sure what Neil YOung adds to that mix, but I'll have to give this CD a listen.

I first came across CSN & Y at University in 1969 - I saw the film Woodstock. I bought their first album and then Deja Vu. They remained amongst my favourite albums for many years . I did not follow their career as a band thereafter, although I did separately enjoy Neil Young's output and particularly admired Still's Manassas. Listening now to a CD compilation, I am still struck by the music and harmony singing. I may well, at the risk of getting too nostalgic, try listening to to this CD.

They are among of my musical heroes. I listened to and played thier music 24/7 in high school and college, back in the mid to late 70's. I've seen them in concert 20 times since 72. I don't agree with some of thier politics these days...But that's ok. I saw them front row a few years ago when they came back together and I wept.... It was so good...When the smoke cleared and the pipe organ appeared on stage with Neil singing and CSN just looking on, guitars in hand...I lit my lighter, closed my eyes and waited for the smell of cannibus to drift by....
I love CSNY
