Art Garfunkel Caught With Pot - Again

September 7, 2005

Art Garfunkel, half of legendary duo Simon & Garfunkel, was charged with possession of marijuana after police in upstate New York found a joint in his car's ashtray after he rolled through a stop sign. Garfunkel was similarly charged in 2004 when the fuzz found grass in his limo.

I always like Art Garfunkel and maybe it was the pot that helped him with his creative juices. Best of luck Art and find a better hiding spot for your pot. I will surely remind everybody that reads my web site, namely www.SweetHomeAlbertCounty.com , you and all the great things you did.

Thanks
Ray

I'm a new member from Oregon and I really enjoy this site and the music. Couldn't help but notice that Art G. had "rolled" through a stop sign. More distracting, perhaps, than a cell phone.

Keep rolling Art, God Bless

Maybe more of us should get "caught" with a joint. I doubt that Art has to pee in a cup in order to do his job, as many American workers have to do now. Marijuana laws are rediculous. Support NORML. Free Art Garfunkel .

Art,

You keep us all young!

grow up Art! Set an example you old pothead!

Many of us Canadians wonder why so many Americans are so uptight about smoking pot.

Art can ROLL into Dublin any time and BLOW us away with some really cool REEFS (sorry) Art for arts sake.

I thought Americans were protected against illegal search and seizure. Maybe it was just something I read somewhere.Oh, well.

Art, dude, keep spliffing!

Posted by: Christian Anderson at September 12, 2005 11:30 AM

Ah sheesh!!! He was there in the 60's and still doesn't know how to hide a joint!!!! Whahahahaha!!

Posted by: Annemarie De Bie at September 13, 2005 5:11 AM

good point. Perhaps someone should offer a "stash re-hash" course, a remedial program for boomers in how to hide stuff and act straight (Like, Art, dude, you ran the same friggin stop sign AGAIN!?)

Gosh darn that fiendish marijuana! I mean, I can't believe that people continue to make use of a natural plant that grows all on its own out in fields world wide when there are chemically complex and potentially dangerous drugs like Prozac and Viagra that are completely legal! Come on Art, get on the freaking bandwagon and start taking prescription chemicals for everything from being occasionally shy to having gas after eating beans. But stop indulging in a plant!

You couldn`t make it up could you ?

Art, I'll never forget the time I passed you along the road in Maryland - oh, it was a few years ago ! Anyway, forget about the hiding places, just work on your driving skills, lol. Best wishes.

A victim of the "New Prohibition," hmm, Art? That's okay. Good to see some famous names in the "busted column." Might give a few folks pause the next time they get a voting chance to decriminalize this most beneficial of plants.

(I have MS, and I know wherefor of what I speak/write. Cannabis has it all over pharmaceuticals when it comes to MS symptom management.)

Little harsh for that golden voice of yours, though, isn't it? No one sings Barbara Allen like you---a condensed, true-lovers' spiritual journey.
