Taylor is the fiddler for a central New York bluegrass band, and his new album of (mostly) western swing is so much fun to listen to. It's happy and upbeat, just like Taylor is.
These guys are SO entertaining in person, and nearly as good on cd! Album guests include George Jones, Steve Wariner, The Jordanaires and Dierks Bentley.
Claire Lynch has such a beautiful voice, and such depth of feeling, both in her vocals and the songs that she chooses to record. I recommend this one for the bluegrass/country/gospel fan on your gift list.
Great Scottish-style fiddle & viola, with a little help from pipes, drums and whistles. Great listening; fiddling with real schmalz!
Wow!! As a bluegrass fan, this has to be my favorite release all year! Just a GREAT selection of bluegrass bands and soloists putting forth their best efforts from the past 25 years.
This bluegrass quartet hails from the Boulder neighborhood of Colorado... and they sport a ukulele in the band, which gets them my vote, even if i didn't love the music on their album!
One of my favorite songwriters and guitar players.
