ADDING

The Queen and the Soldier
Fine, Fine reprise of the original by Suzanne Vega on her eponymously titled album (1993). Without injury to the sonic beauty offered up Rusby and Roberts, I feel that Vega had somehow truly "swallowed a secret burning thread" as the lyrics indicate, and the painful passion comes through loud and clear in the earlier version.

Kate Rusby
i hate to agree with you Adam as i'm a big Kate Rusby fan, who I've seen play many times, also seen Catherine Roberts who is good. One of the best DVD's out last year was Kate Rsuby - Live at Leeds, very worth buying, also includes some great rehersal and back stage tour footage. Thanks folk Alley for playing some music from the UK, shame though that it was an american song, in fact the only thing from across the pond that Kate has recorded!

Beautiful. Comes through with a passion loud and clear. A must-hear. I did feel like the accompianiment could have been a little stronger. It felt a little weak in a few spots.
