Love the singer...love the song....hate the lyrics
There are tragedies in every war and the French and English have been fighting for a millennium. The French are just better about playing the victim card. For those that have not followed the subject Quebec is currently closer to being a fascist state than anything that resembles real freedom. If you take Germany 1938 plus Greece 2006 you would have Quebec 2012. The relationship Quebec has with Canada is a classic example of the tail wagging the dog and shows what happens when you give a minority group more rights than you give the majority or even other minority groups. I truly wish Canada would have the hutzpa to either force Quebec into sharing the standards and values that the rest of Canada shares or else take the leach off the host. Likewise I wish Quebec would either have the hutzpa to separate or else share the rest of Canada's values. I've lived up here for 4 years now and I've never seen so many angry unhappy self centered revisionistic lazy propaganda spewing fascist loving racist crabby thats the good word for it people as what I have seen in the French people that live in Quebec. So while Mr. Schindell does sing a beautiful song about the French Canadians there is MUCH more to the story than what his lyrics indicate.
