At first hearing, I didn't really like this version - not as peppy as the original. But on a further listen, it is nice it it's own way. And given the sad lyrics, it's probably more better as a slightly somber song.

Yes, it really gives it a different feel being in minor. I was able to hear Ricky and Bruce in Mobile, AL last week- what a show! Their arrangement of "That's Just the way It Is" was much more like the original but with a beautiful bluegrass feel- very nice.
