I've been listening to Louden for >25 years and have seen him in concert many times, most recently at the Kent Stage.
He has always produced deep, tongue-in-cheek, musically complex material.
This one is a classic representation.

..true of Loudon Wainwright and myself. I guess I'm not the only one feeling dated. This a wonderful song and a soulful expression that represents the feelings of many of the baby boom generation. It was obviousy written in a period of reflection and I enjoy the tune every time I hear it.
