It's a first...
have to share this with you... Just heard matt doing his thing and - wait for it - recognised that this was the first track i've heard on this great radio station that i actually own. i've been a listener for no more than a month and i have enjoyed teh programme of music so much that I'm encouraging fellow Brits to tune in / log on. I came across Mat tFlinner when the guy in my local inde record shop recommended this album. I'd never heard of Matt but I was so impressed. Only when I got the album home did I realise that Matt's guitar player was David Grier. At around the same time, I had taken the once-ine-a-lifetime opportunity to book David Grier, Tony Trishka and Barry Mitterhoff. I got to speak to David (who I think is the best guitar player alive) and he told me how impresed he was with Matt. I followed up by getting in touch with Matt (through his website I suppose, don't recall) and he and I had quite a dialogue about his music, the world and everything. I hope very much that Matt's exposure on your wonderful station will open doors for him. He is a remarkable musician, and the album you featured tonight remains one of my all time favoutrites.
