When the group was formed nearly 25 years ago, Cherish the Ladies was the first all-female Celtic group that gained national recognition. The women involved more than proved their chops as virtuosos on their instruments and they quickly gathered a following that has only grown over the years. This concert was a specially-themed holiday show captured the week before Christmas in the rustic elegance of Happy Days Lodge nestled in the wilderness of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This concert was recorded at the Happy Days Lodge near Cleveland, Ohio, on December 18, 2008, by contributing producer Jimmie Wilson.
