Folk Alley presents our December Holiday Stream featuring nearly 50 hours of Christmas, Hanukkah, Solstice and winter music - hosted by Jim Blum.

For people who would rather avoid holiday sounds, with the exception of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, our main stream will remain filled with Folk Alley's usual mix of great music covering a variety of topics.

Totally agree with all the comments and i think nothing left to say anything new you rock folk. Term papers

Honestly... Roy Zimmerman twice in the same hour and the same song even. There is so much more good holiday folk music to hear. I look forward to expansion of the holiday stream and less repetition.

I have an immense holiday CD collection but I can't match this stream. This is like folk holiday heaven. Incredible stuff here. Thanks so much for doing this and Happy Holidays.

Thanks for the eclectic collection of holiday music...including Roy Zimmerman's "I won't be home for Christmas".

What a great idea! I love the music. Most of it I have not heard before as I was listening to commercial stations. Merry Christmas to everyone !

I love this stream--it's a finals week/grading Hades ritual each year--keeps me sane and smiling. One note, though--Neil Hogan (a forgotten and out of print guitarist, according to Jim) is still around, and his Christmas album is available on CD/mp3 download. http://www.joplinandsweeney.com/neil.html Happy musical holidays, everyone...(looking for a new guitar under the tree!)

Wow! Another perk for us Folk Alley members. They just keep coming. Thanks a lot. And Happy Holidays. Yes, Happy Holidays!

Love the idea of a Holiday Stream! Go & check out my own Xmas song "It's This Time Of Year" right here on Folk Alley's Open Mic: http://www.folkalley.com/openmic/song.php?id=13472 HoHoHo! ;-) Niels

absolutely fantastic. I love holiday music. Just wish the playlist was posted somewhere. It's hard to run back to my computer and jot down the album names for all those great tracks. Can you post the whole list?

Not all your holiday songs are named in the holiday song playlist - some get skipped. Frustrating when trying to identify ones I really like!

Love the Sufjan, and thanks for including "I won't be home for Christmas" to remind us of our soldiers "over there". God save & protect them.

I'd like to hear an instrumental stream on quiet Sunday mornings. I especially enjoy guitar. Thanks.

12 7 09 Easily the BEST holiday mix we have ever heard; we await, though, "Shotgun Shell Christmas." down here in Deep South Texas, no snow, but the mix more than makes up for its lack ....

I am so thankful for all of your holiday streams, but especially this one. It is always a welcome companion when decorating or preparing meals, or just good ole' fashion family time in front of the fire. Definitely an essential part to our family's holiday tradition. The quality of the music is incomparable. Thank you so much and a very Happy Holidays to everyone at our favorite station!

this has been the best sight i have found with such a diversity of "holiday music".
