Winterbloom is more of an on-going event than a traditional "group." Four talented (and acclaimed) singer/songwriters based in the Boston area bonded over the idea of holiday music. Not Rudolph and Frosty, but contemporary folk songs about the world during Christmas and the darkness of winter. Together Meg Hutchinson, Antje Duvekot, Anne Heaton and Natalia Zukerman tell stories of families and the beauty of the end of the year in a lovely collection of original songs and thoughtful covers.
Heaton and Zuckerman stopped by the Folk Alley studios to talk to Mark Urycki about assembling a holiday CD, touring and why it's a lot less lonely performing music with their friends.
