Hailing from the bluegrass state, it was only natural that Sam Bush developed a passion for the fiddle at a very young age. By the time he was a teenager Bush was already playing fiddle like a seasoned pro, winning several awards for his music. Bush would soon broaden his horizons with the formation of the New Grass Revival. This group gave the bluegrass musical scene new blood. The band combined bluegrass with jazz, rock, and soul to create a spectacularly creative sound.
Now known more for his mandolin than his fiddle, Bush continues his musical journey by regularly producing solo albums in addition to a substantial number of collaborative recordings. Bush has recently worked with artists Acoustic Alchemy, Alabama, Kenny Baker, Suzy Bogguss, Michael Bolton, Garth Brooks Neil Diamond, Steve Earle, Alison Krauss, Lyle Lovett, Dolly Parton, Shania Twain, Doc Watson and Trisha Yearwood.
