Live Demo Of Harvest Moon..

Album Rating: (5 of 5 stars)
Review Comments: "Dreamin Man Live '92", would've been a better release instead of the studio Harvest Moon, this newborn live classic is an improvement without the background singers, the studio production,Neil Young is more natural here,an easier listen, accompanying himself with acoustic guitar, harmonica, plus an admirable performance on the banjo about good 'ol "king",here within lies stirring echoes of Dock Boggs. Also present are nine other original compositions performed in the unique style and manner only Neil Young could vocalize..be careful not to wear this disc out,it's an excellent companion to the 1971 "Massey Hall" and "Unplugged". Some of you may or may not disagree with my first comment about Harvest Moon,it is a good album, although some of the songs are over produced, and strangely enough I just recently purchased "dreamin' man" a week ago and have already out played my old copy of Harvest Moon many times, just an observation.
Great Release

Review Comments: I really like this release. The songs were recorded at different venus but the sound is pretty uniform. Would have liked a double release, maybe with some of the other songs played on this tour. Definetly a great addition to the Neil collection with repeated plays.
SOME KIND OF MAGIC GOIN' ON HERE

Album Rating: (5 of 5 stars)
Review Comments: Since I picked this cd up as an afterthought a couple weeks ago, it's
made a home in my car player - re-arranged the furniture, stocked the fridge, adjusted the lights; there's something up the combination of Neil's voice, the
tremendous guitar playing, and the SOUND of Neil's Martin guitars, plus the tunes themselves, that creates some kind of alluring magic to my ears. A keeper along with the Silver & Gold live DVD and Heart of Gold live DVD.
Neil playing acoustic live is the best.
Neil Keeps the Dream Alive

Review Comments: The complete body of Neil Young's work will be a wonder to behold when we can look back at all of it for a total retrospective. Until that point, we're subject to Mr Young releasing things in any order he chooses. I'm okay with that. This snippet focuses on a the early 90's- his voice and guitar should be listed as one instrument. "Harvest Moon" is either heartbreaking or heart warming depending where you stand. The lyrics of "War of Man" ring with truth & 'Hank to Hendrix" is just pure Neil at his best. Truly one of musics most prolific writers & performers this one just adds to the legend. dig him now, 'cause we're gonna miss him when he decides to hang it up. I, for one, hope he never does.
Neil at his best....

Review Comments: This is bare bones Neil Young in his finest element. Neil, his Martin guitars and a microphone. It doesn't get any better than this. I wish he did a solo, acoustic version everytime he cut a new album. I personally prefer this style over the studio CD of Harvest Moon.
If you're like me and really dig the 60's folk scene, you'll love this CD.
