A review for the Vinyl release

Album Rating: (5 of 5 stars)
Review Comments: If you're considering purchasing this on vinyl chances are you are already aware of how amazing this album is so I wont go into that. I just want to note something that I didn't realize until after I opened my copy of the album. The Sun Giant EP is included in this purchase!! So not only do you receive Fleet Foxes incredible self-titled debut, but you receive a complementary 2nd vinyl of their excellent 1st EP. This is a great purchase. Enjoy!
Fleet Foxes

Album Rating: (4 of 5 stars)
Review Comments: Now why can't all folk be this tasty? Warm tones, honest lyrics, rich vocals, and non-lazy acoustic guitars. Fleet Foxes have done it right on this release ladies and gentlemen. While not everything here is original it is refreshing and a new take on a classic format.
'Oliver James' 'Ragged Wood' and 'Sun It Rises' are just stellar songs. The album isn't without it's moements of 'ugh' though, which is what prevents it from a higher rating.
However overall this is a totally worth while release.
Folk Rock For Generation Y

Album Rating: (4 of 5 stars)
Review Comments: I've never been much of a fan of the precious and pretty indie folk scene but this band displays a greater knack for depth in both production, lyrics, and their classic, timeless sound than any other band of their kind that I've ever listened to. It's a very inspiring listen and I'm delighted by how they combine such disparate yet similar elements as rich vocal harmonies a la Beach Boys or Zombies with earthy, organic, and yet, celestial, folk that calls to mind Led Zep III side two, for example.
Fleet and Sweet

Review Comments: These guys have created elegant harmonies and a fullness of sound that harken back to the heyday of the happy hipster SoCal scene--even though they're from Seattle. Eat your heart out Brian Wilson and David Crosby!
I've yet to stop

Album Rating: (5 of 5 stars)
Review Comments: I have yet to stop listening to this album. It's been awhile since I've enjoyed an album this much. The only "low point", if you can even call it that, is Tiger Mountain Peasant Song. It's not a bad song. It's just a lot quieter and softer than the very energetic first couple of songs on the album. And it really quickly changes the mood on you. But things pick up quickly after this more somber song.
All in all, if you've listened to the samples and like what you hear you should buy it. It is very enjoyable, and I eagerly await their next album.
