Gift for Elliott fans

Album Rating: (5 of 5 stars)
Review Comments: I have really enjoyed hearing this album. I LOVE Elliott Smith and this is such a gift to hear new (to me) songs and old versions of some of his songs.
Bonus Elliott Smith!

Review Comments: This CD was a great treat for me. I liked, but didn't love "Figure 8" and "From the Basement on a Hill", his two final releases. But this collection I love. I know some people were debating whether to buy or scavenge the internet to find these tracks for free... I think this Double CD is worth owning. It one of those rare CDs worth hanging the Ipod up a couple hours and popping this into the CD player for the full uninterrupted listening experience. Great music from a tragic music figure.
Elliott Smith - New Moon

Album Rating: (5 of 5 stars)
Review Comments: What an awesome album of mutli-layered guitars and vocals, just the way Smith's used to excel at.
Listening to it, I kind of doubted during a minute that he actually was dead. I laughed to myself imagining for a moment that this story was a joke and that he was there somewhere still recording albums.
Well, it's not the case.
But luckily enough we still have something to discover about Elliott Smith's music. And it's one of the most beautiful piece of it. Love it, share it.
Elliott Smith, Great as always

Review Comments: For those who are fans of Smith's music or are new to it, this is a good album. Fans of E.S. will know most of these songs, but it's still a treat to hear since he was taken from this earth too soon. A great collection of his work.

Very Dark

Album Rating: (3 of 5 stars)
Review Comments: As expected, very dismal recording released after the suicide of this dark artist. Worth owning, but keep away from sharp objects.
