Neil Young always good.

Album Rating: (4 of 5 stars)
Review Comments: The music is great. Video is classic but lacks the quality of more recent performances. I really enjoyed it.
Clear and crisp live album

Album Rating: (5 of 5 stars)
Review Comments: It is hard to find a truly clear and crisp live album from the early 1970s, but Live at Massey Hall is the best older live album I have ever heard period. Neil Young sounds so young, full of soul, and all of the tracks are phenominal. Many of these tracks have not been released at the time this was recorded (pre-Harvest), with a few tracks differing from what was released later on album (i.e. A Man Needs a Maid), and a unreleased track (i.e. Bad Fog of Loneliness). I am a huge Neil Young fan and this quickly became a favorite. If you love his solo acoustic side, you will love this live cd. Buy it, you will not be sorry!
Brilliant

Album Rating: (5 of 5 stars)
Review Comments: Hauntingly Brilliant. Solo, alone, with just his instruments and during a rough period for all.
Neil's genious truly shines. This is the bench mark that classics are compared to.
The DVD is in and out, looks like someone with a 16mm. The banter between songs is priceless. And the film show's it's age. I'm just glad someone was around to capture such a gem.
A must for any collection.
Terrific

Review Comments: This is a great cd. Every track is excellent and hearing Neal Young as a young man brought back many good memories from when these were all new songs. I highly recommend.
Totally Awesome, but......

Album Rating: (4 of 5 stars)
Review Comments: I've been a major Neil Young fan since the first Buffalo Springfield album, & I must say that upon viewing this concert dvd, I have just a few comments-if you've been a Neil fan for a long time, you will absoulutely love this-it is precious. It's so good hearing him hitting the high notes as clear as he did on the original albums. Not only the live performance, but the 'home-movie' extras, which give us a bit of an idea of what Neil is/was really like offstage. But...what in the world is the deal with the showing of a reel-to-reel tape recorder for several minutes of some songs, & in a few cases, the entire song instead of Neil himself performing?? Did whoever put this out think that anyone on earth would rather watch a recorder on Neil's chair instead of him?? Thus the 4 instead of 5 stars. Otherwise, this is a true Neil Young fan's dream dvd-I hope they release more live shows from this period, & especially earlier..maybe some Buffalo Springfield, or even an early concert during his 1st two solo album tours, hopefully with this same quality, which is perfect.
