Review Comments: This is outstanding guitar and band "Americana", "Alternative Country", or just plain old "Rock and Roll". Lucinda is outstanding, most of the songs she performs were written by her. She is an wonderful performer also. The band is excellent and very guitar oriented.

Musicians include: Lucinda on vocals, and guitar; Kenny Vaughan who is phenomenal on the electric guitar; John Jackson on guitar; Richard "hombre" Price on bass guitar; Randy Leago on Hammond b3 organ and accordian; Fran Breen on the drums; and Jim Lauderdale on acoustic guitar.

The entire concert is phenomenally great, but some highlights I liked include: "Car Wheels on a gravel road"; "Lake Charles" (This is Lucinda's home town); "Jackson" -this is her song, not the Johnny Cash song; "Changed the Locks" - this is a classic!; "Passinate Kisses"; and a very awesome extended performance of "Joy". The performance of "Joy" is just outstanding, its difficult to describe just how good it is.

This is a 5 star concert dvd, well worth having. Its a classic that will stand the test of time. I highly recommend it.

Review Comments: I have bought a few music DVD's over the last few years and this is one of the best I now have. It has a great selection of the artist's songs and the sound quality is very good! Many live music performances are not too good regarding audio quality, but not this one- very, very good!

Classic!

Review Comments: Lucinda Williams is one of the most pure artist I have ever heard. You can easily tell that she has lived what she sings. Her band in this particular concert is one of the best ever assembled. This is a MUST DVD for anyone's collection who appreciates the pure art of music!

Review Comments: Luncinda on Austin City is a real prize - I really enjoyed this DVD - I just wish there was more !!! As with other Ausin City DVD's Ive seen, there is no 'extras' or 'bonus footage'. But the 74 minutes of Lucinda & her band here is a prime time, top notch performance. I would like to see MORE Lucinda DVD stuff released (like perhaps the Fillmore concert?) - but for now, this is it.
