Review Comments: I can't say enough good things about this collection. I've been listening to it for ages and still find it as beautiful as I did when I bought it. There are some familiar songs here for me, and I wondered if they'd be able to add anything to such great songs- but they have. Their harmonies are lovely; this music soars. It's a nearly perfect CD.

Review Comments: Someone at work gave me this CD because they thought I would enjoy the genre. Yes, they were RIGHT. I love Dar Williams ... but this trio gives a nice diversion from listening to Dar alone.

What a nice album. "folksy" and great story telling. I've listened to it quite a bit and really enjoy it.

Review Comments: All the praise for this CD that you read here is well warranted. This is a stupendous record, fantastic choice of songs but then, of course, Richard Shindell is great at writing them and covering them-check out his recent South of Delia. So the songs are great and the vocal arrangements simply stunning. I've seldom listened to a record that is so moving-great songs like Cold Missouri Waters, The Kid-simply beautiful, sweet harmony singing and beautiful words, a fantastic song-By way of Sorrow and the best version of Richard's Ballad of Mary Magdalen. But it's all great and really is one of the best albums I have. Buy it before you can't!
