My Humble Opinion
Album Rating: (5 of 5 stars)
Review Comments: Though there are other reviews listed above mine, I do feel the need to add my own. I have no deep thoughts or cultured musical feedback to offer. I can write this next bit with true sincerity; I have owned this particular work of Scott's in some form or another since the 1980's. I gave my original copy to a friend for whom I played it when they were in need of some extraordinary music to relax. It took years to hunt down another copy. When I found it again, I greedily bought it and listened to it nonstop for days. It was and is magical. I have used it was music to put children to sleep .
If you believe in the healing power of relaxing music, then this should be your foundation. If you just like great, inspirational piano that you can close your eyes to and travel to eden to in your mind, again, the above applies.
If I ever find myself without this copy again, I will pay any price to get it back into my collection.
Music that touches you really deep inside
Album Rating: (5 of 5 stars)
Review Comments: I bought this CD as far back as in 1988 and since then I have had numerous late evening occations where I could listen, enjoy and almost feel the world slow down. It totally relaxes you, it practically gives your mind a new dimension - you just feel as good as you can get.
Scott Cossu is truly a master with his piano, but Eugene Friesen is on this album infact just as important with his cello. "Reunion" is the soul reason (and a good one) for me to buy his other albums.
impressive

Review Comments: This album was more relaxing than his previous album "Islands" It wasn't a muzak album it was relaxing piano all the way through and I liked that. I play this album when I'm getting ready for bed. It helps me sleep so much better at night. Scott is one of a kind. keep up the good work Scott.
Music that liberates the soul
Album Rating: (5 of 5 stars)
Review Comments: Scott Cossu and Eugene Friesen collaborated on this magnificent, but sadly forgotten collection of instrumentals. Judging by the song titles and album sleeve, one may be tempted to call this music New Age, which would be a mistake. The music Friesen and Cossu erected is dream-like but concise; mysterious yet inviting. Although the album, like most other pieces of music, should be analyzed as a whole, special attention should be given to the elegant, inspiring "Shepherd's Song", which, queerly, was not included with Cossu's 1992 Windham Hill retrospective.
