Really is timeless

Review Comments: This album was recommended to me by a coworker, who, having grown up in Tennessee, was always lamenting the Northern ignorance of all things bluegrass. I said I'd give this album a try, and was I ever surprised! Since I possess an utter lack of knowledge about Southern music, all I can say is that this is truly rockin' music. But this album has breadth, too. I occasionally find a piece of music that conjures vivid imagery in my mind; the last one being Paganini's "Caprice In C Minor" for solo violin. This album has one, too: "One Winter's Night" is a breathtakingly beautiful piece of music. Anyway, a great all-round album. If you like acoustic strings, get it!

Review Comments: I'll be brief and to the point: I cannot imagine musicians more proficient with their instruments than these fellows are with theirs. The music is technically dazzling and melodic, alluring and even addictive at the same time. A rarity, and a pure joy to hear. Every note is a surprise.
