Newcomer to the Barenaked Ladies

Review Comments: I heard the song "If I had a million dollars" and found out that it was performed by The Barenaked Ladies. This is a group whose name had puzzled me over the years and I had not heard any of their songs. I feel in love with this group, their harmonizing and their energy. Their love of music comes through loud and clear. For me, their harmonizing is similar to Peter, Paul and Mary a group from my generation. If you haven't heard them or their name has put you off, listen first to their million dollars and you're hooked. Enjoy!
Great album, especially for BNL fans

Review Comments: From the now classic "If I Had $1,000,000," to less popular songs like Be My Yoko Ono, this is a fun album that really sets the stage for many of their later efforts. I listened to Stunt, then bought this on a lark, and am very pleased with my purchase. Almost all of the songs are great, which is particularly rare for albums these days. The only one I typically skip is "The King of Bedside Manor," and that one is palatable.
Great kickoff to a great band!

Review Comments: This album is pure gold! It shows BNL at their quirky, energetic young age. It has up-tempo songs such as "Hello City", "Be My Yoko Ono" and "If I Had $1,000,000" as well as some nice slow songs like "Brian Wilson", "What A Good Boy" and "Blame It On Me". A great album that I would highly recommend to any BNL fan.
