Nearly every year-end list has James McMurtry's Complicated Game at or near the top. Here it wasn't even offered as a choice!! Ridiculous!

Posted by Bob W. on January 02, 2016

Another deserving album that was overlooked here: CHUCK HAWTHORNE: SILVER LINE Consistently very good!

Posted by BARNEY G on January 01, 2016

I'm wondering why the supremely elegant and lovely Songs in the Dark album by The Wainwright Sisters is not on your lists? I'm assuming it is because the songs are not original to the Sisters themselves, but are an amalgam of songs by others, and "traditionals"?

Surprised not to see the long awaited new album by Finnegans Wake, "Quiver and Rattle" not included here!

Posted by Terri Van Orman on December 17, 2015

Jason Isbell and Rhiannon Giddens were my personal faves, along with Caitlin Kanty. So much really good music this year. Thanks Folk Alley!

Would love it if F Alley could ever discover west coast artists. Alot of soul and spirit out here that this bland/timid list is missing

Trampled by Turtles came out in the summer of 2014, so they were on the "ballot" last year. Great album!!

Posted by bowman on December 12, 2015

i'd like to vote for the CD by my duo Hot Tamale that was played on Folk Alley Open Mic. The CD is titled "Sunnyland"

Posted by craig reeder on December 11, 2015

Was able to find 10 artists worthy of my votes but frankly I would have preferred voting 5 times each for Jason Isbell and Richard Thompson, the two most standout albums I heard all year.

Arthur Davenport - Whispering to the Wind

Gondolier by Kristin Andreassen is so heartfelt. Pure poetry. Makes me happy and sad at the same time.
