Artist Biography:
The Tindalls are a family band featuring Paula & Stuart together with daughters Sarah and Kathryn, just becoming 17 & 14 respectively in Jan ‘09.

Paula & Stuart met in the early ‘80s and performed together as a duo at wine bars, folk clubs & festivals.

They took a break from performing in the mid ‘90s, when their children were young , restarting again in 2003 and recording their first CD “Take Two” in 2005.

Sarah & Kathryn (then 13 & 10) began to join in with their parents at some of their gigs, resulting in them featuring with both backing & lead vocals on some of the tracks on the 2nd CD, leading to its rapid re-naming to “Family Album”.

Stuart has written a number of songs which the band regularly perform. “Sweet Child” won the Banbury Folk Club’s 2007 Songwriting competition (on “Family Album”) and “Lucky Man” featuring on the 2009 CD “Stop ‘n’ Play”.

With songs in their repertoire from Joni Mitchell to Carol King, Bob Dylan to James Taylor and Fairport Convention to Fleetwood Mac, their music spans many "genres" of contemporary as well as traditional folk & acoustic music.

Whilst Stuart plays guitar & Paula plays percussion, Sarah (17) plays bass guitar, treble recorder & keyboards, Kathryn (14) plays flute, recorder, rhythm guitar & keyboards and all take turns in singing lead and backing vocals resulting in a varied mix of music on their CDs and at gigs.
We suspect it won’t be long before both girls are off doing their own thing (either in Folk, Pop, Jazz Dance, Rock….) so we are enjoying playing as a Folk Band with them now, whilst it lasts!
