Artist Biography:
Greg O'Neill is a singer/songwriter who was born on Cape Breton Island and grew up surrounded by the musical traditions of the island. While living in Cape Breton, he started playing music and writing songs. Greg has composed songs on topics ranging from political commentary to personal themes. Greg has worked for 20 years in the field of community economic development and has used music as a tool for popular and adult education, including 15 years in the arctic. He first came to the north in 1989 and lived in Cape Dorset on Baffin Island for 2 years. He has been in the north off and on since then. He has just released a new CD The Journey Back Home and is now living in Calgary.
