Artist Biography:
Kirk considers himself an “Old Folkie”. His love of folk music began in school and continued into his military service while he was in the Marine Corps. He began playing guitar in 1969, performing at many coffee houses and colleges, up and down the US East coast, Europe and the Far East, well into the next decade.
A Singer/Songwriter, he began to write in earnest in the early 70`s. Kirk’s musical style has been equated to that of Jim Croce, John Denver and Gordon Lightfoot. He opened for Denver in Gunnison, Colorado in 1972. Kirk believes that a “good song” will be one that sends a message, can be related to, and has a catchy tune.

Kirk relocated back to the US in Arizona after a 10-year hiatus to Canada in May 2017. He recently performed at the Kate Wolf Folk Festival in Laytonville. California in June, and travelled from Arizona to Saint Geneviève, Missouri in August to attend the Solar Eclipse festival event and performed for an estimated crowd of 4500 on August 21st. He will be appearing at the Prescott Folk Festival in Prescott AZ in October.
