51.13 is the rounded up latitude of Dover, on the South East Coast of England and is also the name of a folk collective led by songwriter, Nick Esson. The band have released an album entitled 'Tales from the Western Dock’. The album comprises of a collection of songs written by Nick having been born and bred in Dover. The songs reflect on growing up in in the town in the late 1970s and early 1980s and attempt to transpose the blue collar themes of Americana to the English South East Kent Shore – primarily Dover!

There most recent release is a Christmas song based on Nicks experiences in the 1970's and the more contemporary experience of being a parent . The song has a 7os musical vibe and we hope it makes you smile ! The song was recorded in a home studio features several guest musicians It will be available to download from Dec 1st via the usual outlets or via the 51.13 Facebook page and via the bands twitter page @5113dover.
