Artist Biography:
Whistler's Father, based in Orange County, CA, is a great example of the Americana music genre. Blending Bluegrass, Country, Folk, Rock, Blues, Cajun, and Jazz, the first Whistler's Father album of all original new music entitled "Highly Irregular" is available for download as well as physical CD purchase.

Whistler's Father was formed in the summer of 2013 initially as a way for three old friends, Tim Bennett, Dan Cartmell, and RJ Williams, to reunite and play cover versions of songs they all knew and loved. Turns out there were some original songs that needed recording.

“Highly Irregular” was recorded over the course of a year and a half. The core members of Whistler’s Father, Time Bennett – lead vocals, guitar, and harmonica, Dan Cartmell – banjo, finger-style guitar, and harmony vocals, and RJ Williams, bass and harmony vocals, were joined in the studio by a roster of talented musicians:

Byron Berline – fiddle & mandolin, Hal Ratliff – piano & keyboards, Roger Gillespie – drums, Rick White – electric guitars, Ernie Nunez – bass, Sean Vidrine – accordion, and
Bradley Baker & Sir Louis – harmony vocals
