Artist Biography:
A Band Called Wanda are a 4-piece indie/folk band from Galway. Having built a name for themselves on the Irish music scene through industrious touring and high-profile support slots to the likes of David Gray, Alabama 3, Stornoway, The Coronas, The Sawdoctors, The Hothouse Flowers and Johnny Flynn, they are now considered one of the most exciting and promising new acts coming on to the Irish Music scene, and are creating quite a stir with their own brand of exciting, melodic "Folk 'n Roll".

Having just returned from Glastonbury where they were finalists in the prestigious Emerging Talent Competition 2013, the band are filling Irish dates for May and June before heading to the UK and Europe later in the summer.

The Glastonbury ETC Live Final featured 8 acts who were hand-selected from over 8,000 entrants by Glastonbury father-and-daughter team, Michael and Emily Eavis.

In May 2013 A Band Called Wanda will be launching their eponymous album and touring Ireland before traveling to the UK and Sweden later in the summer.

"A band this f**king good should not have such a s**t name" - Larry Love, Alabama 3.
