Artist Biography:
Jacob Latham is a folk/rock musician hailing from Bloomington, Indiana. He fell in love with music from a young age, listening to the songs of Bob Dylan, Gillian Welch, the Traveling Wilburys, The Band, The Avett Brothers, and a host of others that made their way into his poetic soul. Though only 18, Jacob is already a seasoned performer, appearing on stage since he was 12, playing shows all over the Midwest with his family folk band, dazzling crowds with his eye-popping mandolin and harmonica solos, and heartfelt singing.
Over the past year, Jacob, has branched out on his own, with numerous appearances at Bloomington’s popular farmer’s market and other venues in Bloomington’s formidable music scene, gathering lots of new fans, attracted not just to his talent, but even more to his passion for making music. And, on March 1st, Jacob will be releasing his first EP—“Midnight Train”, a collection of 5 remarkable original songs, produced by Paul Mahern (John Mellencamp, Reverend Payton’s Big Damn Band, Over the Rhine, etc.), which will be a perfect introduction to what will surely be an amazing musical adventure
