Artist Biography:
In addition to solo work, I perform with Ben Steel and his Bare Hands,The Balduck Mountain Ramblers, and The Dennis Cyporyn Band. I play guitar on Dennis' third release, "Duet to Quintet", recorded in Nashville in 1996.
I love classic country, American roots music, and all kinds of folk, bluegrass, stringband, etc. I've worked in all kinds of configurations over the past 40 years.
I sing, play guitar, mandolin, banjo, harmonica, and dobro.
With my songwriting partner, Mike Vigilant, I have over 15 musical plays in publication through Samuel French (New York), Pioneer Drama Service (Boulder, Colorado), and Meriwether Publishing (Boulder Colorado). The Alabama Shakespeare Company has commissioned us to write songs for two productions, James and the Giant Peach (2006), and Bear Country
(2009). Bear Country is a play about legendary Alabama coach Paul "Bear" Bryant; the tune "Mama Callin" is from that show.
Between 2003 and 2007, I played lead guitar with my son Nathan's band, PBM. We had the opportunity to tour in England and across the US, performing at colleges and clubs.

My recording, "Song Collection 1" is available through CDBaby, ITunes, and Amazon.
