Focus On: Pete Morton

What is it like when a former busker from Nottingham, England, now a 20+ year veteran of the English and European folks scene, drives across the Midwest of the U.S.A. and lands for a Sunday afternoon gig in the intimate town of Salem, Ohio? The small crowd gets treated to some of the tunes they already love by him, get introduced to Geoffrey Chaucer’s version of a rock and roll standard, and a couple new tunes just penned on the road. Folk Alley producer Joe Gunderman recorded the show. This is Pete Morton: A Small Gig In A Big Country. Enjoy! Also, check out the interview with Pete in the FolkAlley Extras section.

Really like the song about the recession and about what's important - makes you think. Probably why I listen to folk. Gonna check Pete out when he's back in the UK. Especially like the reference to Robin Hood, something local!
