Update for Eliot et al. Some of the audio from Newport 2012 IS downloadable at the NPR site. (At least I spelled downloadable correctly this time.) Call me thrilled, since I missed the simulcast this year. Now the question is whether (or why not) Folk Alley will cover the Philadelphia Folk Festival, the longest-running, continuous folk festival in North America. (Newport took a break.) Since 1962, this year is the 51st festival and the 50th anniversary of the first (even if Gene Shay won't get that right from the main stage.)

Eliot: Audio of the performances at Newport 2012 are at the NPR Music site, http://www.npr.org/templates/archives/archive.php?thingId=92834404. I, too, am a little disappointed that they are not on Folk Alley this year, as in the past, with some of the performances downlodable for members, if I recall that correctly. Folk Alley and NPR covered Newport "in association," whatever that means.

This web page for Wilco says, "Recorded Live at Newport Folk Festival 2012", but all I can find are 8 still pictures. Am I missing something?
