I know yer gonna get a lot  of moaning about your top 100 choices, but really: where is John Jacob Niles, Judy Collins, June Tabor?  John Fahey?  Only one song from Richard & Mimi Farina while there were three from the Kingston Trio? Too many top 40 pop hits: Like a Rolling Stone by Bob Dylan (great song, but not folk) and Leaving on a Jet Plane by John Denver (not such a great song from the easy listening genre).  Sheesh . . .

I don't think you can discount songs because of their popularity.  Can't deny the Folk infuence on popular music......"the times they are a changin'"

I would of liked to see 'Nebraska' or even 'alantic city' by Springsteen

A couple of omissions: De Colores and Guantanamero, at least a nod to the growing number of Latin Americans living in the US.

Bob Dylan deserves a tremendous amount of credit when considering the top 100.  I would expect at least some representation by most enthusiasts, but I am afraid that many people have somewhat discounted his relevance in folk circles due to "plugging in" and having reinvented himself (time and again).   I have read where folks think he sold out.  If you really are familiar with Bob's catalog, you know better.  My opinion is biased, but I think I make a good point.

I would also like to vote for Fred Eaglesmith and Lynn Miles, a couple of Canada's best.
