I'm new to this website and I'm just getting back into bluegrass music.  Bluegrass music festivals were big family events for us back in the 1970s.  There was one in particular that I remember and my parents called it Shade Gap.  What I don't remember is if this was in Shade Gap, PA or in another location and they called it "Shade Gap".   Does anyone know?  Does it still exist?  I've done some searching and came up with some historical information and a show date for the The Lewis Family in Shade Gap, PA.  Thank you.

The Shade Gap festival was one of many that were put on back in the 1970s and early 80s by a fellow named Jim Clark.  To the best of my knowledge, he hasn't been active in 25 years or so.  However, there are still plenty of great bluegrass festivals around.  One of the best (this year) was the Grey Fox festival which took place just a couple of weeks ago.
